Contact Mr Manoj Then ua 639865 2832 About the Opportunity We operate in the healthcare sector, delivering tertiary-level cardiothoracic and vascular surgical services across India. This on-site consultant role sits within a high-acuity surgical program focused on complex adult and select pediatric cardiac procedures, perioperative critical care, and multidisciplinary cardiovascular care pathways. Role & Responsibilities Provide lead consultant-level surgical care for adult cardiothoracic and vascular patients-planning, performing, and supervising complex procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic surgery. Manage perioperative care in collaboration with anesthesiology and ICU teams; perform intraoperative decision-making and direct postoperative critical care for high-dependency patients. Lead and participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, tumor boards, and morbidity & mortality meetings to drive continuous clinical quality improvements. Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, and surgical trainees; contribute to roster planning and operating-theatre efficiency initiatives. Develop and maintain clinical protocols, checklists, and quality metrics for surgical and ICU pathways; ensure adherence to local regulatory and safety standards. Support emergency on-call services for cardiac surgical emergencies and collaborate with interventional cardiology for hybrid or combined procedures. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have MCh (CTVS) or DrNB (Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery) or equivalent specialist qualification. Valid Indian Medical Council (state) registration and licence to practice in India. Proven experience as a consultant or senior operating surgeon in high-volume cardiac centres with independent operative competency in CABG and valve surgery. Demonstrated competence in cardiopulmonary bypass management and complex aortic procedures. Experience managing postoperative cardiac ICU patients including ventilatory support and haemodynamic optimization. Strong track record of multidisciplinary collaboration and clinical governance participation. Preferred Experience with ECMO initiation and management. Training or practical experience in minimally invasive and off-pump cardiac surgery techniques. Prior involvement in academic activity, audits, or peer-reviewed publications in cardiothoracic surgery.
