Overview:

The role of BAMS/BHMS RMO (Resident Medical Officer) is crucial within the healthcare organization as it involves providing primary medical care and overseeing patient treatment and well-being. This role also requires working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive gynecological examinations and health assessments.
  • Diagnose and treat various reproductive health issues.
  • Manage prenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care for expectant mothers.
  • Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including cesarean sections and hysterectomies.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle changes to promote health.
  • Educate patients on family planning, contraception, and sexual health.
  • Lead and supervise patient care teams, ensuring effective delivery of care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and monitor patients’ progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Stay informed of advancements in gynecological practices and procedures.
  • Participate in health fairs and community outreach programs to promote women’s health.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients dealing with health issues.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
  • Postgraduate degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology (MD or DNB).
  • Valid medical license to practice in India.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Proven experience in performing gynecological surgeries.
  • Strong understanding of reproductive health issues.
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and make quick decisions.
  • Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare colleagues.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Dedication to continuing education and professional development.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi is preferred.
